MARINE HYBRID SYSTEMS
INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE AND EFFICIENT MARITIME MOBILITY
In the vast and complex marine sector, E2C partners with companies navigating toward a sustainable and technologically advanced future.
We provide tailor-made solutions featuring cutting-edge hybrid marine propulsion, designed to deliver high performance while reducing environmental impact.
E2C’s commitment is reflected in the innovation and development of advanced energy conversion systems. These systems – the result of our R&D department and collaboration with leading institutions – are designed to optimize energy efficiency and have been applied to various types of hybrid vessels, including water buses, vaporetti and yachts.
For water buses, we developed an innovative storage system using both salt-based and hydrogen technologies, offering a versatile and efficient energy solution adaptable to different operational needs.
For vaporetti, we created a bidirectional, galvanically isolated conversion system, a technology that enables optimal energy management, hybrid vessel propulsion and exceptional safety and reliability.
In the yacht sector, our advanced energy conversion system – which includes storage options such as salt, hydrogen or lithium batteries – is ideal for shore power converters and for managing peak shaving and load leveling of onboard services, improving energy efficiency, sustainability and noise reduction, a feature particularly valued during night navigation.
HYBRID BOAT
The Hybrid Boat project developed by E2C within the HYBRID MARINE division represents a significant innovation in water transport, combining advanced technologies to deliver a sustainable and efficient mobility solution. This project contributes to the transformation of the nautical sector through the introduction of a hybrid propulsion system that integrates electric and conventional power, reducing environmental impact and improving overall energy efficiency.
MOTOBATTELLO VENEZIA
The Motobattello Venezia project developed by E2C represents the forefront of sustainable water mobility, with the goal of transforming traditional river and lagoon transport into a model of energy efficiency and environmental responsibility. This initiative focuses on converting the propulsion systems of Venice’s lagoon water buses from conventional to hybrid, a key innovation for the city of Venice, where water transport plays a vital role.
YACHT ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM
The Yacht Energy Storage System project introduces a groundbreaking solution in the nautical sector, aimed at optimizing onboard energy management for luxury yachts through the adoption of a salt-based conversion and storage system. This innovative technology represents a significant step forward in improving yacht energy efficiency while also contributing substantially to the reduction of the environmental impact of high-end vessels.
