The LTO Grid Booster project developed by E2C in the fields of STORAGE SYSTEMS and E-MOBILITY is an advanced solution designed to optimize electric vehicle charging infrastructure. At the heart of the project is a conversion and storage system, a technology that, once connected to the electrical grid, increases the power available for charging stations. The specific system works by storing electrical energy in high-capacity batteries and converting and releasing it as needed. It connects directly to the grid and uses LTO (Lithium Titanate Oxide) batteries, known for their long lifespan, high safety and fast charging capabilities. These characteristics make LTO batteries ideal for applications requiring frequent and rapid charge-discharge cycles, such as electric vehicle charging stations. With the growing number of electric vehicles, demand for charging energy is rising quickly, putting pressure on existing electrical grids, especially during peak periods. E2C’s LTO Grid Booster addresses this challenge by providing additional energy, ensuring charging stations can operate at full capacity even when grid demand is high. Acting as an energy buffer, the system stores energy during low-demand periods and releases it quickly when needed, ensuring charging stations have enough power for fast and efficient EV charging. This not only enhances the charging experience for users but also helps stabilize the electrical grid, reducing the risk of overloads and supporting the transition to a more sustainable and reliable energy system.
